Q: What are your clinic hours?
A: We are open every Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00pm for the weekly medical clinic. We are available for regular dental cleanings by appointment.
Q: How do I get to the Ely Community Health Center?
A: Our clinic is located at 33 East Chapman Street in Ely MN.
Q: What time should I get there, and where should I go when I arrive?
A: The clinic doors are open at 5:15 pm. Enter through the front door and check in at the reception desk.
Q: Can I make an appointment?
A: No appointments are necessary for the medical clinic. We see patients in the order they arrive. We will stay until all patients have been seen. If you need dental services please make an appointment.
Q: How long will my appointment take?
A: Your appointment time will vary, depending on why you are visiting us. It could be as short as 15 minutes. You might be there longer if you need more complicated assistance.
Q: Will my clinic or dental visit cost me anything?
A: No. Your visit is free.
Q: Do I need to have insurance?
A: No. We may ask if you have insurance for data tracking purposes, but we do not bill insurance.
Q:What should I bring with me?
A: Bring a picture identification card. If you are taking any medications or supplements, please bring a list with exact names and dosages. If possible, bring the actual prescription bottles with you.
Q: What is a specialty referral?
A: A specialty referral is a referral to another provider or organization who can better help you with your problem. It might not be a medical provider. We can help with a number of problems.
Q: What if I need prescription medications?
A: We can assist you in finding a place to get your prescription filled (or refilled).
Q: How can I help?
A: We can always use help at the clinic. You can give us a donation or help us by volunteering. We can find a way for you to help, even if you can only volunteer one time! A medical background is not necessary for our volunteers.
Q: Are my contributions tax deductible?
A: Yes. Ely Community Health Center is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
